Cabin by the Sea

This week we’re throwing it back to the Dirty Heads’ second studio album Cabin by the Sea, which celebrates five years on Monday. It’s different than my normal taste, but I really like this album, so I’m giving you two.

Here’s the first single they released off the album, which you probably recognize, “Spread Too Thin.”

And here’s one of my favorite jams on it, “Mongo Push.”

I was a staff writer for the entertainment section of my college newspaper when this album came out and I had the opportunity to interview the band, but never saw my piece in print. Five years later I’m realizing I asked a few questions about drug use during the writing process, so I’m wondering if that’s why. Whoops.
