Larry Livermore

Larry Livermore is best known as the founder of iconic Bay Area based Lookout Records, home to bands such as Green Day and Operation Ivy. He’s written two books, Spy Rock Memories and more recently How to Ru(i)n a Record Label, which as the name suggests, is all about starting, and ultimately losing, Lookout Records. I went to a reading back in February 2016 and sat down with him afterward to ask a few questions. Now that Lookout Records has just celebrated its 30th anniversary with the Lookouting at Gilman, it seems fitting to finally release this interview.

And here are some videos of the reading that day that took place at the Last Record Store in Santa Rosa, California.

One time I sneezed and Billie Joe Armstrong blessed me.
