New The Armstrongs: “If There Was Ever a Time”
Tim Armstrong of Rancid (and Operation Ivy) and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day have joined forces to create a supergroup, aptly named The Armstrongs. No, the two are not related, but they’ve been friends since the early 90s when both bands were starting out at 924 Gilman in Berkeley, CA.
The band also consists of Billie’s son, Joey Armstrong of SWMRS, and Tim’s nephew Rey Armstrong.
The official audio for “If There Was Ever a Time” from Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk has finally been released, and all proceeds from downloading the song go toward Gilman.
