In episode 16, break out your new Decomposer vinyl and have a listening party with Shawn. The second disc in the package, “Precomposer,” is indulgent, improbable, and at least today, even more exciting than the actual album, because it tells the story of how the album was made, and that ties in nicely to a podcast that largely does the same. Hear how Shawn really feels about their cast of star producers, why the crow has button eyes, and also, I just realized, phonetically, that the album’s title contains the phrase “pre-cum.” Well, too late to change that. (It probably is an appropriate accompaniment to an album that was released back when most of us were still teenagers…)
